Led by Experts:

Structured training and group ride sessions will be led by members of Hilltop Bicycle Racing, staff and close partners, the same people running group rides outside during peak season.  With the benefits of a controlled environment, you can focus on instructions, intervals, and planned efforts without the distraction of traffic lights, cars, animals, and everything else.  We’ve structured a program using our favorite training hacks from personal experience and working elite athletes applied to any level cyclists.  Using Zwift group ride features, and proven methodology such as watts/kg tracking, you will see improvements regardless of your current ability.

FAQs:

This is run by experienced cyclists and racers, will the sessions be too hard?
Not at all, sessions will be as challenging as you make it.   Structured training sessions will be based on your ability based on watts/kg (a metric of power).  Using Zwift’s “stay together” feature riders of all capabilities with be grouped during the entire ride regardless of power output.   Unrestricted rides (those without “stay together” function) will be based on the Zwift scale A, B, C, D with ride leaders setting the pace for that particular ride

What hardware, software do I need?
Use any “Smart Trainer” or bike with a power meter connected to Zwift.   Download the Zwift Companion App to run during the rides or run off your PC, and the Discord app for live voice and video chat.  A heart rate monitor with Bluetooth connected to Zwift is recommended but not required   Workshops will be run on Zoom.

How will I join sessions, see the schedule?
An up-to-date schedule will be managed on the Hilltop and UNDRBUDR websites.   Once registered, we will invite you to join a Hilltop event group set up on Zwift as well as a Hilltop channel on the Discord app.  You will then see details on group rides in events like any other Zwift event, then simply sign up.  Several training sessions and on-demand videos will be available before the official start of the training program.  You will also receive invites and reminders via email for any Zoom workshops well in advance.

Do I need any tools or props for the workshops?
Workshops have been designed for anyone jumping in, no equipment or tools are required.  A yoga mat will be helpful as well as some type of resistance band
